KAITLYN AND TIM

Wedding. Vermont. Castle. PICK ME!!!
It always feels like a compliment when a bridesmaid from a wedding I’ve photographed contacts me for her own celebration.
Caitlyn was the textbook perfect MOH for her best friend from childhood Karin, so I knew working with her would be a dream.
The small country church, the castle, the soft blush colors, the temperature, the air, EVERYTHING was perfection! Some couples would consider the wrong “first song” a strike against perfection. The fact that Caitlyn and Tim continued to giggle and dance through several wrong attempts just made them more endearing!
Definitely fell in love with Vermont but am a forever fan of this couple and their friends and family. Truly, these folks were as genuine and kind as they come and being part of their day was heaven.

CAITLYN AND CIARA

CAITLYN AND CIARA

Oh please let me follow you around on your wedding day.  Floral crowns and farm animals and enough love to conquer the world.  Please let me follow you and I will tell your beautiful story with images.

BRUTON

BRUTON

As I was organizing images from a session I started having flashbacks…this was feeling familiar. The Grand Canyon isn’t large enough to contain Mason’s personality and if you throw a prop his way he will WORK it. Next time I’ll have more in my arsenal…or do we continue a trend of “redplaidblanket”?
Speaking of arsenal, I’ve totally stolen the Bruton’s fool proof way to make a small one laugh. They continued to create visuals of whack ice cream flavors: “bologna-ice cream”, “brussel sprout-ice cream”, each one more bizarre than the last and each one resulting in squeals of joy making my job so easy!
So much fun to have the privilege of watching this precious family grow, I can’t wait to see the next chapter!

A Beaufort Wedding

A Beaufort Wedding

Nautical and easy. Two people in love celebrating their union with friends and family? Count me in! I love the South. I love the soupy-sauna-humidity. Really. Even when I’m dressed in all black, chasing a bride, especially if it’s in a sleepy little fishing village with trees dripping moss like Beaufort. Oh, Hi CHARM OVERLOAD.
Let’s up the ante and throw in a bride that grinned ear to ear all day and kept saying “I am having so much fun!” I know my face was tired from smiling the next day so I imagine Heather was too tired to even move. When Steven cried while reading the letter Heather had delivered I knew I was in for a special day. A crying groom is golden. He didn’t hold back when she walked down the aisle either.

The staff at The Boathouse at Front Street Village must have felt the magic as well. Not one detail was overlooked and they too seemed genuine in wanting the couple to have the most perfect day.

Guessing the fact that they found out they were expecting their first born shortly after their honeymoon just iced the cake. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Rainville!

AMBER AND BEN

AMBER AND BEN

Soupy hot summer days are par for the South.  It was one of those days and I was dropping my car off for repairs.  I received a phone call from a potential bride and asked if I could call her back when I returned to my office.  This complete stranger only heard “car” and “repair” and immediately asked if I needed a ride, she was concerned the heat was just “too much”.   It wasn’t a knee jerk response.  That is who Amber is.  Kind, considerate, genuine.  A bride like this deserves a man-mirror and she found it in Ben.  Did I forget the word humble?  Yah, they have that covered too.

Their celebration at Mt. Lebanon Chapel in Airlie Gardens was a perfect reflection of who they are with simplicity, elegance and a focus on celebrating with friends and family.  It was a gift to meet these two and their whole tribe and a complete honor to photograph the first day of their new status.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Kerr, forever is looking mighty shiny.

SARAH BETH AND AARON

SARAH BETH AND AARON

Sarah Beth and Aaron decided an Engagement Session at Lucas Farmhouse would compliment their rustic wedding celebration plans at the new Long Creek Barn right down the road.  No argument as I’m always on board when lovely people want to share their joy and energy here!

The space doesn’t allow for anything other than relaxation and Sarah Beth and Aaron quickly settled in to me stalking them around the property.  So easy to photograph the way they playfully tease each other and even their sarcasm doesn’t hide the true admiration they have for one another.  I am eager to document the wedding fun and can’t wait to see the magic that their planner Roberta Danford brings to the day
